Manistee Township teen reported missing, second time in a year.

MANISTEE TOWNSHIP — The Manistee County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing teenager. Garrett Sheaks, 17, was last seen in his home on Friday, March 22. This is the second time in less than a year that Sheaks has gone missing.

He was last seen driving a green 1995 GMC Sierra extended cap pickup that has a cracked windshield, large scratch on the side and peeling paint on the top.

He is described as having black hair, brown eyes and is about 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He also has a chipped front tooth.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Garrett Sheaks is asked to call Manistee County Central Dispatch at (231) 723-6241.

In April 2018, Sheeks went missing for five days. He was found by a family camping at Orchard Beach State Park. At that time, he had told deputies that he had taken shelter in a bathroom on the south end of the park. He had ridden a bicycle out to the park.
