Duo arrested for drug charges following traffic stop.

MAPLE GROVE TOWNSHIP — Two people arrested following a traffic stop are facing drug charges. Michigan State Police troopers pulled over a vehicle on Healy Lake Road near 13 Mile Road around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, March 10, upnorthlive.com reported.

According to MSP, the passenger of the vehicle, Jason Davis, 37, had an outstanding warrant out of Grand Traverse County and was taken into custody. Troopers found substances believed to be illegal drugs on Davis while searching him.

The vehicle was driven by Amber Oshea, 33. Troopers apparently became suspicious that Oshea was attempting to hide or destroy evidence when she became non-compliant during the roadside investigation. She allegedly refused to follow several commands from police and was then taken into custody.

Troopers also found additional suspected drugs and evidence of intravenous drug use in the vehicle.

Davis has been charged with possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and possession of analogues. Oshea has been charged with possession of methamphetamines/ecstasy, possession of analogues, possession of a schedule five controlled substance and resisting and obstructing an law enforcement officer.
