3 people, including 2 teens, involved in vehicle larcenies. 

MANISTEE — Three people may be connected to more than 35 larcenies from motor vehicles in northern Michigan, according to a report from UpNorthLive.

While investigating a motor vehicle larceny recently, the Manistee Police Department found and seized property including an iPad, laptop and golf clubs that were stolen from several vehicles in the area of Dunes Drive.

The three suspects, ages 16, 17 and 20, are from the Manistee area. They were interviewed and confessed to breaking into unlocked and locked vehicles from November of 2016 to present, according to UpNorthLive.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the group may have been responsible for more than 35 larcenies from motor vehicles.

The case will be presented to the Manistee County Prosecutor for review on a multitude of charges, according to Manistee Police Department.

The police department would like to remind residents to secure any valuables and put them out of plain view as well as lock all vehicle doors.
