The National Weather service has issued a winter weather advisory:

Manistee
Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9AM EST TUE until 7PM EST TUE

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING. HAZARDOUS WEATHER

SNOW SHOWERS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY BY MID MORNING

AND BECOME MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES INTO EARLY AFTERNOON. INTENSITIES AND COVERAGE WILL TAPER OFF LATER THIS AFTERNOON.
STORM TOTAL SNOW: 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW TODAY

AND SPECIFICALLY FOR MACKINAC COUNTY

THESE ACCUMULATIONS MAINLY ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 75.
OTHER HAZARDS: WINDS WILL BECOME GUSTY THIS AFTERNOON RESULTING IN AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. IMPACTS

REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SLICK AND SNOW COVERED ROADS. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS SNOW IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS WILL RESULT IN SLICK TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH THEIR DESTINATIONS TUESDAY.
